What COVID-19 has taught me is how are national government will fail against any significant strain. I had already theorized this and while there were mountains of evidence before COVID-19, this was the final nail in a coffin. Due to COVID-19 I will always remember how our government stood by and let hundreds of thousands of people die for no better reason than to keep the economy open. I will remember how the government couldn't provide adequate PPE to healthcare workers who's lives and families were in danger, but could provide the same to the police and military force to tear gas and spray rubber bullets at those protesting against racial inequality and the wrongful murders of too many black civilians. I will always remember how thoughtlessly our national leaders in government asked us to go out and die so our imaginary currency wouldn't do badly. I will never forget how the government stood by and watched us die while doing nothing when there was so much they could have done to help.
